Taking care of yourself and avoiding toxic chemicals can be tricky in the times we live it.  These are a few ways for your new jewelry that was created in an environmentally friendly fashion to continue it's path of low impact, and also to keep it shiny!


Gold - Soak in dish soup water(I use Miss Meyers of 7th Generation) for 10 minutes.  Scrub with an old toothbrush.  Dry with a soft cloth.

Silver -  Make a thick paste with 1/4 cup baking soda and two tablespoons of water.  Brush onto silver and rub.  rise and dry with a soft cloth.

Brass - Dissolve 1 teaspoon salt in 1/2 cup vinegar and add enough flour to make a paste. Rub onto the brass and leave for 10 minutes; rinse and buff dry.

Copper - Combine a few tablespoons of lemon juice with 1 tablespoon of baking soda and rub the mixture in until the grime begins to come off. Then, polish off with a  cloth.
